10TH ANNIVERSARY RUSSIAN INTERNATIONAL HORROR FILM FESTIVAL AND AWARDS “DROP” will take place very soon!

At the end of October 2020, Moscow holds the postponed from March due to the pandemic restrictions 10th Annual Russian International Horror Film Festival “Drop” presented by Live Entertainment.
This year’s anniversary festival has a huge program for horror fans all over the world. This particular festival is a huge international project supported by the Fantastic Film Festivals Federation. “DROP” is listed among the official international film festivals recognized by the Russian Ministry Of Culture.

The Competition Program of the festival consisting of horror films, thrillers, action films, detective and sci-fi pictures is held between October 21-24 in KinoOKKO chain of movie theaters (”CINEMA PARK METROPOLIS” and “Formula Kino EUROPE”) as well as in the independent Moscow theater “Mir Iskusstva”.
From early morning till late night in movie theaters “EUROPE”, “Metropolis” and “Mir Iskusstva” audiences will have a chance to see best pictures of the year, selected by the Festival’s Committee. You’ll see the newcomers’ work as well as the masters of genre. Since the applications came from all-over the world, the audiences will get the chance to see a great variety of this multi-layered genre on the Global Scale. This year’s winner gets an Award and money prize, as well as the TV-distribution deal.

This year festival judges are: Richard Cutting (USA) — a well known film producer and actor, an actor Yuriy Torsuev (Russia), Аndrea Marfori (Italy — the writer, producer and director of “EVIL CLUTCH”), Paola Mingoni (Italy) — the screenwriter and make-up artist, Elena Kornilova (USA/Russia) — a Hollywood actress, producer and filmmaker, Alessia Gasparella (Italy) — an organizer and program director of ToHorror Film Festival, David Ghane (Germany) — the president of Obscura Film Festival , as well as Rodos Blonskiy (VOID).

Every year this festival features international celebrity guests. This year the following guests are preliminarily announced to appear: Chris McDonald («The Faculty», «Perfect Storm», «Requiem For A Dream», «Spy Kids», «American Pie», «Flubber», «Thelma And Luise», «The Collector», «Superhero Movie», «The Twilight Zone», «Superman»), Pollyanna Mcintosh («The Walking Dead», «Deathcember»), Javier Botet («Мама», «Slenderman», «It», «Conjuring 2», «Mara», «Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark», «The Mummy», «Rec», «Insidious 4», «Final Destination»), Andrea Marfori («Evil Clutch”, “Quest Of Fear”), Josita Black (”Saw 6”) and… the greatest gift for all the genre fans — the cast of the biggest TV-show on NETFLIX — “Stranger Things”.

Apart from the celebrities personally presenting on the festival, we will have video messages for the audience to be screened from Hollywood stars.

This year’s Russian celebrity guest list includes Fedor Bondarchuck, Vilen Babichev, Egor Abramenko as well as the cast of “Creature” movie and many others.

At 18:00 on October 25 the theater “Formula Kino EUROPE” holds the Special Awards Ceremony of the festival’s winners. The creators of the best pictures will hold the stage as well as the creators of the best films of the year. The Award Show features: Yordi Matos, Michail Parfenov, Alexander Savin, Zhenia Sasha Chugunova, the performers of the African dance, Sergey Sadovoy and his extreme-show and the celebrity child-performers from “Golos” and “Kids Eurovision”.
Before the show the audience can enjoy the performance-quest and the exhibition of the predatory plants, and after the show — World Premiere of the full-lengh anthology movie “Deathcember” made by some of the world’s best genre filmmakers.
